We were delighted to welcome the BBC on Thursday 13th May to film some scenes for the forthcoming series of Father Brown. The Fox Inn has been used regularly in previous episodes being re-named as ‘The Pig & Whistle’, however this time the Fox became ‘The Red Lion’.
The crew were here for a few days setting up props and making the pub look like a 1950’s bar. Many locals wished the beer prices were the same as they put up on the chalk boards!!
The series is inspired by the stories of GK Chesterton; a Catholic priest who has a knack for solving mysteries in his English village. Father Brown attracts audiences from all over the world and as a result we have had many visitors from all areas of the globe who have tracked the pub down to visit and take some photographs.
